Year 4 Children - Vocabulary learning

In Year 4, we will be looking at vocabulary learning. Vocabulary is very important for reading comprehension.

Children will work with one of the project team on two different days. On the first day, they will play a game on a computer where they learn some new words and their meanings. They will explore a new galaxy and play games to remember the names of the aliens they meet.

On the second day, they will take part in some activities about vocabulary and reading.

When your child is in Year 5, they will work once more with the project team to see how their reading and language has developed over a year.

In the task, children help Stan the Spaceman to learn the names and details of different aliens!
